TENS(Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)
is often used for the temporary relief of pain due to Reflex Sympathetic
Dystrophy(RSD). TENS when used for the treatment of pain is never intended
as a replacement for medications or physical therapies, but as an adjunct
to these other therapies.
Two machines sold by Masters Medical have protocols developed for RSD,
the Spectrum Max-SD and Epix-XL.
The Spectrum Max-SD however,
is the only one of the two with published data on the use of TENS in RSD.
